Honey

Recently, I was looking at this piece and I saw the story that it really is. All the teals are Nantucket, where I graduated High School, and all the sun and deep browns and cowgirl boots are where I fell in love and where I live now, Austin , Texas. Everything I cut and piece together, has a piece of memory and narrative in it, as it is made by hands and impacted by the shapes and colors of my own life.

Playing with architecture and pattern, this is the second piece in the Mirrors Collection that I have created with only a stencil and a color palette as my guide. Some papers in this piece feature vintage National Geographic images and text, wallpapers and collected seascape painting books and maps. Able to hang vertical or horizontal it is a striking backdrop to any space.
